Emergency Protocol

Life safety first, vehicle second. Work through these in order.

   Call 911 First

   Smoke, fire, hissing, sweet or chemical smell, or anyone injured: get everyone out, move 30 m upwind and call 911. Tell them it is a hybrid or EV.

2. 02

   Thermal Warning

   Popping, venting gas, pack heat through the floor or rear seat are signs of thermal runaway. Do not reopen the car or try to cool the pack yourself.

3. 03

   High Voltage

   Never cut orange cables or open the battery case. Leave the service disconnect to trained responders and certified technicians.

4. 04

   Tow & Roadside

   No fire or injury? Request a flatbed — never drag the drive wheels of an EV or plug-in. Use the recovery network.
